This category is for a person who has a Certificate of Completion from CBEPS is eligible to enter into articles with a practising BC land surveyor (BCLS) and be registered as a Land Surveyor in Training (LST).
Persons wishing to become Land Surveyors in Training must fill in and submit the application below. They should forward their Certificate of Completion issued by the Canadian Board of Examiners for Professional Surveyors (CBEPS) along with their resume showing the cadastral survey experience they have achieved to date and the appropriate fees to the Association office. Their credentials will be reviewed and the article period will be determined by the Registrar. The applicant will then enter an articles agreement with a BCLS who has a minimum of three years experience as a practicing land surveyor. LSTs are required to achieve at least two years of cadastral surveying experience and are required to file diary sheets with the Association during, and upon completion of their articles period. Credits toward article time can be obtained for time as a survey student and for suitable land survey experience.
